14 Day Mind, Body, Home & Soul Challenge

I truly appreciated several very encouraging emails from you this last week after my last email newsletter. Several of you excited to try this challenge again! We did this challenge while we were all quarantined, giving us some motivation when there really didn’t seem much drive to do anything productive.

However, sometimes it is still easy to get caught up in life.

We forget to carve out time for important things like planning a way to eat vegetables, fitting in some exercise, or making important family connections.

So I’m happy to begin this challenge again, although I decided to make it just 14 days this time.

It’s okay if you don’t do it all!

I’ve heard from some that this challenge sounds good – but one particular area would be really hard to achieve. Don’t let that stop you from trying! It’s okay if you don’t complete everything everyday! Let this be a goal, and let it be something to push you achieve something you didn’t think you could do!

If you miss three days in a row, just get back at it and start again. This is just a little motivating tool!

Free Printable

I have a printable that will not only allow you to check things off as you complete them, but also provide an area to write what you accomplish each day. You can keep track of the veggies you eat, how many pages you read, and what you did for exercise that day. You can print this over and over, so even when the challenge is over- feel free to continue!

Download the printable here.

Here are the details of this challenge. I have even more details about each area on my previous challenge post here.

What14 Day Mind, Body, Home & Soul Challenge

When:  Wednesday October 7th- October 21st

Who:  Anyone!  Young, old, rich or poor.   Anyone that wants to be intentional and have the accountability to fit these important things in your day!

Complete these items each day, keep track on the free printable.    You get two free days to not complete everything- because we all know life happens👍.

Mind🧠 : Read a book 📚 for 20 minutes a day.

“The cheapest, easiest and most time-tested way to sharpen your brain is right in front of your face.  It’s called reading…From the letters to the words to the sentences to the stories themselves – snaps the neurons to attention as they start the work of transmitting all that information.”  Marc Peyser, Reader’s Digest 2019.  (Social media reading doesn’t count here😉.)

Body 💪Exercise 😅 – raise your heart rate- even maybe break a sweat for 20 min/day.

&  Eat 3 servings of non-starchy veggies/ day🥬🥒🥕🥦🤗

& Drink lots of water!  💦 Determine the amount best for you and set that as your goal each day!

Home🏠:  1.  Clean or organize one extra thing each day.  Could be cleaning out a junk drawer, organizing one shelf or maybe a whole garage!  Time to stop procrastinating those projects!  Could just be 5-10 min, it makes a difference!

&/or

  2.  Make a connection with a family member.  Spend a little extra time talking at the dinner table, playing a game with a child, or listening to a teenager when it’s past your bedtime.   This could also be writing a letter or making a phone call to a family member outside of your home.

Soul 🙏 📖:  Read your Bible and pray. Ask God to show you how to apply what you read in His Word to your life.  Use the Words you read as prayers.  For help in this, I have some free Bible Study and Prayer Journaling pages available here.

If all that is overwhelming, would you be willing to just pick Bible reading and prayer and commit to that for 14 days? You can do it, and I’ll be cheering you on and praying for you along the way.
